Once again, thank you for choosing us. We’ll be very happy to host you.
Beforehand, though, there are brief and quick steps to complete at the earliest convenience or anyway at least a day prior to arrival date:
- Step 1: complete the Online Check-in
- Step 2: choose how to collect keys
- Step 3: settle the Tourist City tax
- Step 4: receive instructions to reach easily the apartment
You made the booking. Yay!
Leonardo is the main Host. He and his family own the apartment. You will be Guests in his house. However, he lives in Padova and travels a lot for work. So we help him assisting you, his Guests. That’s what we do. We’ll be your local reference, your wingman in town. We can help you with special requests like bedding display, extra treats, transfers, parking,..
1° step: the Online Check-in
You complete the online check-in clicking on the button below with the name of the apartment you booked (you can find why it is mandatory here and our privacy policy here)
FYI: As you may have experienced in a past travel stay, in Italy hotel staff and holiday rentals’ hosts has to collect Guests passports’ details [here you can read what for]. Some might have asked you a copy of your passport or to send it to them via WhatsApp, some might have taken a photo of your ID. These practices are not really advised by authorities as you never know what can happen to the (digital) copy of your ID / passport.
2° step: the Keys Collection
Always looking to satisfy our Guests’ preferences, you can choose how to collect the keys in the way that most suits you.
Option 1. The lockbox
Collect the keys from the lock box on the door handle. On the apartment’s page you can find a video tutorial. The weblink to it and the code will be sent after we’ve collected the city tax (via secured payment link). We can also schedule a video call once you settled in and joined the house wifi network. So we can still meet up for a virtual welcome and Q&A regarding Venice and the apartment.
Suggested to whom:
- love flexibility
- travels by car/coach
- checks in later in the evening → after 8PM
- has not a travel plan till last minute
- has no issues with video calls
Option 2. The meeting up
Alternatively, we can plan a classic meeting up* according your travel details and our availability. So we can show you the apartment, answer to any question in person and collect the city tax there and then. Subject to surcharge.
* it may be required to all the Guests to wear protective masks and gloves / wash handSuitable to whom:
- can provide flight number / train code number at least 3 days before arrival day
- checks in at the apartment before 8PM
- not used to lockboxes and video calls
Here we go. So, please let us know at your earliest convenience. Thank you.
If you have any special request, please visit this page. Thank you!
3° step: the Tourist Tax
Since 2011 the Metropolitan City of Venice demands a fee to each Guest staying overnight in its premises. This tax is calculated upon length of stay, number and age of Guests (children reductions), season, type of accommodation.
Because of this, OTAs do not collect directly (like Airbnb) or barely estimate it roughly (like Booking.com). Each accommodation has to collect it on behalf of the city and reverse it to 4 times a year.
Accordingly to your keys’ collection choice, we might need you to settle it:
4° step: Instructions to the apartment & Code
Now you have done everything, it is our time to send you informations. As Google Maps / Apple Maps work terribly in Venice, we collected on a webpage the info and the easiest itineraries to reach the accommodation. We can’t host you if you are lost in Venice. Of course we’ll send you the code for the lockbox as well at this point, if you’ve chosen this.
